Swept Off Her Feet comes out in the UK on December 13th!

Stand by for a very, very cute cover that will make you want to redecorate your guest bedroom asap…

Ta da!! Isn’t this the most gorgeous cover?! And wouldn’t you love your bedroom to have that Art Deco thistle theme?! I particularly love the wee Scottie dog and his Westie friend – exactly the kind of vintage tat find Evie would love to get her hands on…

Can I pitch this novel to you a bit? It’s the very romantic story of Evie, born in the 1980s but inherently a crinoline and boots gal, who adores antiques and gets a little thrill of the past each time she touches something old. She’s sent up to a rambling estate in the Scottish borders in order to help the cash-strapped owners find some pieces to sell to pay for renovations, and there she meets Robert, the rather grumpy businessman son of the current owners, who is less than thrilled at having been landed with his family’s draughty white elephant. Robert doesn’t want to sell a painting to fix the house; he wants to sell the house.  How Evie manages to persuade him otherwise involves snow, sweeping staircases, Edwardian love letters, rolltop baths, a reeling ball, candlelight, and a family secret that takes everyone by surprise…

It’s very cold out there. I recommend you download this book on Thursday, tuck yourself in with a pot of tea and some biscuits, and escape from the Christmas madness for a few hours.

I just couldn’t wait for it to come out over here, so I bought it when it came out in America, and DEVOURED it, such a fabulous story. It may be set in the chilly highlands but it gave me a warm glow :) What a gorgeous cover for the new edition!

I devoured and LOVED this book one night last July (coming up on the anniversary next week, to be exact) while staying in Derry, Northern Ireland. 20 days of rain out of 24 (the charm of it being Irish rain wore off pretty quickly) made for a lot of evenings in; I’d brought this book along for the Scottish leg of my trip, but I’d finished the novel set in Ireland in my second week, and so I snuggled down for the evening into this delicious bed with this delicious novel, and found it to be absolutely delightful! When I got home to Canada, I found and devoured the ‘Honey’ series in record time. Looking forward to your newest work when I can get my hands on it!
